Glue Trap
Glue Trap is an ongoing body of work documenting where I grew up in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and the surrounding areas. In my photographs I capture what I find beautiful in the landscape of the very stagnant capitol city, that is best known for a nuclear power plant melt down, the first and only suicide on live television, and the 30 year tradition of annually making a half ton butter sculpture. Although I no longer live in Harrisburg I always find myself returning to the very place I tried for years to get away from, as well as many of my peers. Some try to leave, some resign to living there, and like myself, go back to try and understand this place as it slowly changes over time. I like my photographs to speak for themselves but I hope that they represent a love-hate relationship with a working class American town.
