Uncanny World
I look to find beauty in different forms, manners and designs existent in the world natural and man-made around us. My photography is unique, in that I base my shot on how I connect with the scene and how it makes me feel. Photography is my way of escaping the chaos and harshness of the world on a daily basis. When I am behind the lens of my camera, the anxiety and hopeless feelings evaporate. I become immersed in a tranquil world where nothing seems to cause me unease or discomfort. My main focus is what I see through the lens. My eye brings me to a place where I see the world as it could be and my desire to bring that vision of the world into others’ awareness through my photographs.

My process with infrared photography is to shoot landscape, architecture or abstract photos with more of a contrast in the scenes that fit in the infrared spectrum. Infrared is the spectrum of light just beyond the range we can detect with our eyesight however it is the colored light that is actually there. I capture this light using a mirrorless camera where I removed the filter that blocks out the true infrared light. I look for compositions that would be a picturesque panoramic scene with various shades of light. I take a series of pictures of the scene in order to capture the full panoramic image and process the images by stitching them together.
