Revealing

Emotions are the evidence of our existence. My project Revealing is an exploration into my own thoughts and feelings through imagery. The work involves collage and found images that I create in digital compositions. The source material such as found drawings and imagery represent emotions often kept to myself, afraid no one would ever be able to relate. The thoughts that race through my mind in times of heartbreak but also times of pure happiness is evident in this series. Emotions are fluid, one moment you may feel on top of the world and the next you feel defeated by life. I have a tendency to associate certain imagery with an emotion I have experienced in the past, such as a snake with fear and a butterfly with beauty and growth. While I create these images my goal is to grow and confront myself with past experiences, inevitably how they have shaped me into the person I am today.
