211 is a series of photographs of the community that I am a part of within the nightlife of 13th and Locust in Philadelphia. This community is chaotic, unique, and always out late– living life to the fullest. Being a part of this community makes it easy for me to photograph the wild events that occur from night to night because I am trusted. I carry a point and shoot camera so that I am able to document at all times. This tool allows me to be experimental and has allowed me to convey my personal vision of the chaotic scenes happening in front of the lens. This way of taking photographs solidifies memories that are cherished by me and my community and allows the viewer a compelling look into this unusual place and time.
